Every driver that ever drag raced has his or her own Big Daddy Don Garlits story. With competition being so fierce between Gary Beck and Garlits you can be assured that Gary had a lot of stories. Some I can repeat here and some are better kept in confidence. Here is one of those stories. Garlits decided to start using a starter after Gary schooled him on the starting line.
