The Friends of Broadway Bob Gathering is a great annual event that celebrates the life and times of not only Bob Metzler but the historic drag strip, Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove Wisconsin. Bob was the promoter and owner of the track for many decades and brought the midwest some of the greatest drag races and spectator events of the era. Great Lakes Dragaway and Broadway Bob will always be linked and the history and memories from this track will live on for generations. Enjoy the event which we captured on video. Speakers were John Gregory, the man who built the top fuel bike The Hog Slayer, Jerry Newman known as “The Nitro Helper” who has a long history of success in the nitro ranks. Cameo speakers are Richard Hutchins, owner and driver of the Chevy Rebellion wheel stander and Brian Kohlmann who is the owner and driver of the 32 Nitro Coupe.
